Analysis of Dioxin by GCMS

I'm currently involving in method development for analysis of dioxin (water and soil sample) using GCMS. Unfortunately, the method that I found was the EPA method which was time-consuming due to the large amount of samples will be tested in future. Instead of the use of this method, do you all know that any methods which are more easier to prepare sample prior to analysis? For example, SPE method...etc. Hope can listen your advices soon. Thanks!
i am not sure but maybe SFE could work for soils sample.
C18 or graphitized carbon black (GCB) SPE works well for water matrices. For soil extractions I recommend the new microwave extraction systems.

Dioxin analysis requires very low reporting limits. This means that background contamination is a constant challenge. Before investing a lot of time in spe or other shortcuts, carefully examine the materials you will be using for interferences. This covers both the extraction and cleanup steps.

Review the hardware requirements of the method developed in Japan to prepare samples for dioxin analysis. The Japanese do extensive testing for dioxins because they burn most of their trash/waste. They test water, soil, fish, food products, and even mother's milk for dioxins. They developed a fast and accurate method to separate dioxins from a variety of matrices.

Supelco sells the flash chromatography columns and has information about the Japanese method for sample preparation that should meet any needs you may have.
