Has anyone done a ethylhexyl acrylate - MEHQ (4-Methoxy Phenol) separation by GC? I have been unable to find a method. Looks like it has been done by HPLC. I can"t imagine that there isn't a good method for this by GC. Can't find it on a 1 or a wax with a FID,

We have done GC analysis of MEHQ on a polar column (like a FFAP). Acrylates analyse very well on this type of column as well. I have not used a wax column, but I gess it will be more or less the same.

Not GC but standard method is UV abs at 295nm.

Acrylates can be done my GC on wax as well as siloxane phases. If you use siloxanes, you can go up to much higher temperatures and they are generally more "forgiving". Siloxanes are available with high phenyl (Silphenyl) content like the Rxi-17Sil MS. Such phases can take 360C ans are quite selective. They show good peak shape for free phenols so I don't expect issue with the acrylates.
