i am trying to quantify 3 components from herbal extract by HPTLC & that 3 components have different lambda max./wavelength then how do i select scanning wavelength?
You either pick some "compromise" wavelength where all three compounds absorb somewhat, or you scan three times. I don't know if anyone makes a photodiode array scanner that would let you obtain spectral information in real time during the scan.

Another possibility is to use a different techique such as charring before scanning.
