is there any guideline how to integrate a HPLC chromatogram or is it experience based judgement and ability of analyst to do justices with product as well as value of this technique. the value can be changed by user as desired on narrow difference cases which change the fate of a batch/lot. for analysis of drug substances/products or any ingredients having single peak or number of peaks the technique should be different and should be guideline i.e. Traditional or Apex track or any new suitable tech. to exact define the peak, which lead the fate of batches/lot.

I use Apex Track lots - it is very good.
Good integration is

defensible - it must look reasonable in that all area attributable to peaks is included in peaks and that what is obviously system noise is not included among peaks

consistent - samples and standards are all integrated in a similar fashion, preferably via the same processing method and without manual manipulations. The peaks should look similar from injection to injection and from run to run.

That said, please avoid falling into the trap of endlessly optimizing processing parameters to try to get all to be consistent to the last single area count.
Thanks,
DR
