I have several Agilent 1100 and 1200 stacks controlled by a client/server Chromleon 6.8 CDS. For isocratic methods, the run does not stop at the specified time in the program file. For example, the "end" statement in the program file occurs at 1.3 minutes, but the run doesn't actually stop until 4.5 minutes later. If the run time is longer, the delay before the next run is also longer. Has anyone had and fixed a similar issue? Our Dionex support folks have tried to help but haven't been able to figure it out. I had a somewhat similar problem with an Agilent 1200 stack under Chromeleon 6.8. There was a delay of about a minute and a half before all injections. During blank runs the system would begin the run with no delay, but would then not turn acquisition on until after the 90 seconds. Dionex was unable to help us either. Finally we figured out that what was happening is that when switching the system configuration from RID to VWD, if the RID equilibration and purge were not turned off (these steps totaled 90 seconds in length) that this delay somehow got translated into the system while using the VWD, and was listed nowhere in chromeleon. Do you possibly have some currently unconfigured component that could have had a delay or hold step set on it before being removed from the configuration?

Thanks for your reply. I do have a FLD in the system, but it's not active. I'm not aware of any hold step, but I'm checking. How did you find and fix yours? Did you change the system configuration to include the RID and use Chromeleon to turn the RID equilibration and purge off? Or did you do it using the Agilent controller (gameboy)?

Exactly, what I did was reconfigure the system to use the RID, then went into the RID settings and shut off the equilibration and purge steps. I then reconfigured the system with the VWD and that fixed the issue. This was all done through Chromeleon. Hope this helps, this was a rather frustrating issue to deal with.
