Waters 996 and chromeleon 6.8 s11 on xp not talking!

Upgraded computer (as last one was on the way out), so tried to reinstall chromeleon with old GPIB card from previous computer. It will intermittently detect the 996. So shelled out on new GBIB card that was definitely xp compatible, new drivers etc. but still no joy. Anybody any ideas? (apart from the obvious invest in some newer detectors!)

In exactly the same boat! Works in Chromeleon 6.6, and XP sp2, but not 6.8 XP3.
Now using XP sp3 compiant NI-PCI GPIB, no joy!

Hi, I have had 996 running with Cm6.8 on XP, and I believe it was with XPSP3 in the end. (I did not monitor service pack until 3 monts after the last 996 was decommisioned, summer 2010, so I'm not absolutly sure.)
First, you should be able to see the 996 identified with the NI GPIB tools. Do you see the 996 GPIB ID? If you see 996 with the NI GPIB tool, but not able to address it from Chromeleon, contact Dionex.
