TotalChrom Workstation _ GC not ready

Dear everybody,

I have just started using the GC Clarus 500 from Perkin Elmer.

I would like to ask you one question about analysis of typical sample.

I created the method already and loaded to the system.

Everything is ready for analysis but only GC announces "not ready"

I think this notification due to the signal of 20-30 mV.

I have waited for a long time but this signal doesn't still decrease yet.

May I ask you about this problem "GC-not ready" ?

Thanks in advance !

What type of detector are you using?

On TotalChrom what does the Status box read apart from GC not ready?

On the GC display are red dots displayed next to the GC icons?

What is your turn on operation? Have you turn on at first PC or GC? Interface?

PErkin Elmer instrument must turn on in this sequence: PC, interface, HS and GC.

Also on Clarus usually it's possible that is select in automactly "oven off". You're shure that oven is on?

 I am having the same problem with the GC being NOT READY. I'm using FID, and everything (temps, flow, etc.) in the Details box looks good, all are Ready. I'm sure it is something simple I have missed. The FID signal is pretty low when lit (.15) but there is condensation when I check. I haven't used FID in awhile, so I'm a little rusty. I've been using the Turbomass. Maybe I need to turn off the GC power and reboot everything?
