Y scale adjustment in Chemstation

I have a chemstation rev. A10.01. I am trying to print out a GC chromatogram and adjust the Y Scale (something we used to do with using the attenuation in the good old integrators!). There are three option in the report section - signal options: Full; Use ranges and Autoscale. The Autoscale looks terrible when one has some baseline bleed: it takes it as a a peak of maximum height! The Full is self explanatory and Use ranges changes only the X (time scale) HELP, please

Easy. Choose "Use Ranges". Enter in the number of whatever you would like the Y (signal) scale maximum to be. We use that ALL the time.

So I'm somewhat confused at your issue.

Yes, we tried, it has no impact. Maybe you have a newer version. It makes sense to do so, so I am confused why doesn't it work, if I have the option...

Ha !!! No newer version here. We have A.10 on one HPLC, and GCs and HPLCs on A.9 and A.6, HPLCs. We do not have GC software as new as A.10. I'd turn off computer, turn off GC and autosampler, then turn everything on again and try.

Well, this is the strangest thing! I was losing my mind, and another chemist, who does not work in analytical started clicking around on the report page, did not change a thing and it worked. Now it works intermitenetly, but I am planning to re-install the software. Computers just don't like me! Thanks

OK, we have the answer! :D
Signal Options, choose the ranges you want, and what we did not know go same page, lower at SCALE and choose All in the same scale. And this wasn't in the help file or it was hidden (as usually). Life is good, happy Friday!
