BFB vs. Autotune

I have been having a hard time getting BFB to pass this week, so I wanted to do a BFB tune as apposed to the autotune. Once I ran the BFB tune and ran a few blanks, my internal standards were way(10X) lower than they normally are. Is it normal to have to turn up the voltage when running off of a BFB tune vs. an autotune?

The "objective" of atune is to maximize abundance of the calibrant ions, a BFB tune uses a different calibrant but still tries to tune the source so that the ions generated are in correct ratio to each other, and have high abundance.
I don't think your sensitivity should decrease 10x, you should compare the tuning values to those from the atune and see if maybe it set the electron multipler to a lower voltage. Have you done maintenance or changed anything else besides retuning?

I use a maximum emission current tune. I have posted the instructions in this forum in the past.
