Assalam alaikum
hello everybody

can anyone tell me that how we differentiate a waters original columns with a refilled column?
bcz there are many agents which deals in waters refilled columns.........

thnx
Afzal
I'd make a point of buying directly from Waters or an authorized reseller. Filling LC columns to modern standards is difficult enough that I'd want nothing to do with (I'll put it as politely as possible) "recycled" columns.
Thanks,
DR

Alaikum Assalam Afzal,

The original columns must have a security seal on their box.
Also check the column performance reports , the original ones must have no defects , refilled ones may have some dirts , spots etc. depending on the care of the refiller.
Another point to check , look closely at the column heads , refilled columns may have some spanner scratches and deformations on the head during disassembly and re-assembly process.

Good luck!
