Anyone running Shimadzu 14A with TCD/FID in series?

The FID on our GC hasn't ever been used. Looking to run CH4, and would very much like to analyze for CO2 in the same samples. I assume it's possible to run TCD and FID detectors in series since the former is non destructive. Is this setup routine?

I'm using a Shimadzu Chromatopac integrator, and Porapak Q (?) column. Is there anything I should know that will make this easier?

Thanks, Dave

There is a series kit to connect the effluent from the TCD to the inlet of the FID. Contact Shimadzu for details of the kit.
