Injection Volume Control in Chemstation

Hello, I am running a sequence where I would like to inject different amounts of each sample (sample A - 1ul, B - 2ul, then C - 2.5ul, for example). This is an Agilent GC-MS with Enhanced ChemStation D.01.00.

In the method I can specify inj. vol. but this is a global control. In the "Sample Table Log" there is a column labelled Sample Amt. but according to ChemStation help this is not related to inj. vol. but to a normalization procedure for quantitative reports.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Luke

Sorry - I meant to post this in the GC-MS section, although I guess it also fits into this section. Feel free to move it if you think it would go better in the GC-MS forum.

I've looked at my Chemstation versions. The "old" version A10.3 gives you the possibility to override the injection volume, programmed in the method. The version of the GC/MS Chemstation I have does not have this possibility. I suugest to create several methods, all having the exact conditions, except for the sample volume. You can then build your sequence table accordinly.

Gilbert - Ah, that is a good work around, thank you!
