Hey Guys
I was wondering for a suitable method ( conditions ) to quantify glycerol in GC 2010 FID. In case of Glycerol no Gaussian curve is obtained. It may create problem in quantification.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks,

We get this question weekly.

Have you tried performing a search through the posts of the last year, month?

Please ! Spend 30 seconds finding more information than you can possibly ever use.

It is the little blue box with a white field which says Search... Enter glycerol and click the GO button.

Also Search for glycerin and glycerine

Agree, this topic has been asked and answered many times - the answer is derivatization. Drawbacks are that it only works on samples from 0.01 to 100% glycerin.

There are publications like 30 years old that detail this, like in JAOCS.
