My company will purchase a LC/MS. Which one is the better system Agilent 6224 TOF or Perkim Elemer's AxIon2? As I know Agilent 6224 is more popular, but Perkim Elemer's is much cheaper. Does anyone use AxIon2? How is the system? Can it handle both quantitative and qualitative analysis? How about Perkim Elemer's service?

 To get quality responses you will need a better post than this !
How can anyone recommend if we do not know where in the world you are and what your application is ? You may have completely the wrong idea and TOF is not what you need ? Give us an idea why you are only looking at these two ? LC TOFs with 20000 resolution are available from Bruker and most of the other MS vendors, any particular reason why you have decided not to consider any other than these two ?
If you have the money to get an LC/MS would it not make sense to look at all the possibilities and find the best vendor for your actual application ? We vendors have demo labs and are happy to run a sample to prove our instrument

I assume when you choose LC/TOF system is for unknown analysis or large number of target compounds you need the system that can help you find the answer.
several years ago, I find some instrument to help me to solve the problem on my work with large number of compounds (In field of toxicology) I called "Unknown". first before I choose one type of mass analyzer I prepare a set of unknown sample on real sample matrix and aliqout to A,B,C sample set and send to every vendors they have these system and compare the results obtained from every vendors and after that I choose 3 vendors they have TOF system and also QTOF for learning software and tools with local specialist. Finally I decided to use QTOF system that have excellent Isotopic pattern method called sigma value with fast processing software while instrument running (faster than 20 second to find more than 1,000 compounds).
