hi friends
is there any method to get the peak of lactic acid on C18 column.
rakesh

Rakesh,

If you simply want lactic acid (the monomer) on a C18 column, I have done this using 0.1% phosphoric acid in water, and you can elute lactic acid under isocratic conditions (1.0 mL/min, 210nm). Of course, as I'm sure you know, lactic acid is very poorly retained on C18 columns, so this might not work well, depending on your sample matrix.

If you want a method to separate lactic acid oligimers, email me and I can send you what I have developed.

Here is a method for lactic acid and oligomers. Retention time is from 2.5 to 8 minutes. Void on this column (3.2x150 mm) at 0.5 ml/min is 1.2 minutes. You can increase retention time for all oligomers even more if you use 0.05% of phospshoric acid:

Dear SIELC_Tech
thank for giving me information of column and method. Is it the same column for lactic acid oligomer separation as details mentioned below as per ur conmpany catalogue. Is guard column is compulsary along with this column for HPLC analysis
Catalog # B2-32.150.0510
Diameter 3.2 mm
Column Length 150 mm
Particle Size 5 µM
Pore Size 100 Ã…
