LC-UV detection of 5-fluorouracil (5FU)

Hello,
I am trying to develop a method on my agilent 1200 LC system for the analysis of 5FU with detection by UV. 5FU is in 0.1 M NH4OAc and the LC is running on an isocratic elution of 93:7 water:MeCN with a weakly retaining C18 column. On the low end of my calibration curve I am getting this dip in the UV chromatogram which I believe is causing my curve to follow a polynomial fit rather than a linear fit. My analyte peak is on the side of the dip at 2.286 min. Here is a picture

I have seen this before in other UV chromatograms. Does anyone know what it is caused by? I am working on changing the chromatography to fix it now, but I am curious.
Thanks!

If you are using a diode array detector, check to see if the reference wavelength is set. If so, turn it off and see if that helps.
