Micropacked Column on Agilent TCD

I have a 1/16" micropacked column from Restek that I want to use on an Agilent 7890 with TCD. They have adapter kits for the inlet and for FID's but not for the TCD. The only way I can see how to do it is to use the inlet adapter kit with the packed column adapter for the detector. Has anyone else tried this?

mmmargaret,
Use a length of 0.53 column to connect your micropacked to the inlet and detector. I do it all the time, makes changing out columns a breeze. I use Valco or Swage 1/16 fittings on the ends, some would complain about dead volume but it is a packed column after all.
Best regards,

I would minimize the length of the tubing on the detector end.
A big factor would be the flow rate through the column. One could also use a short piece of 0.32mm ID tubing for the detector end as well. Less dead volume is always better.
best wishes,
