hi, can i use hexane instead of n hexane in the final washing of the residue before injecting the sample into the GC-MS?r i am extracting pesticide residues from soil.

What is difference between Hexane and n-Hexane?
It the same.
n-Hexane is the IUPAC nomenclature of Hexane.

Yes. Commercially hexane is a mixture of isomers, whereas n-hexane is a single isomer; however, it will make no difference in your method.
