Agilent 5975C HiVac readings

Happy Holidays all,

I have a 5975C that recently has had very poor vacuum readings 0 - 1e10, it used to read 3e-05. The tunes look really good, the tunes pass verification and the GCMS runs look good, so I don't think this is an actual vacuum issue.

Could this be a board, wire or gauge problem? If anyone has ever had this happen let me know so I know which parts to try to replace.

Thank You!
Hi

Not sure what the 0-1e10 is, but if it passes the tune and the air/water is low then it is probably the gauge.
Yeah run tune evaluation and if that passes your gauge is broken.
That's what I thought, just the gauge itself. If someone thinks it's something different please let me know.
Had the same issue with my 5975C.
Called Agilent and they had me reinitialize the firmware from the key pad.
I do not remember the exact key sequence. Took about 30 seconds.
Give Agilent a call they can talk you through it.
Worth a try before you go any further.
I tried reinitializing, not the problem still getting a reading of zero. I'm waiting for some pump oil to come in and I replace the gauge when I complete the PM. If replacing the gauge doesn't turn out to be the problem I'll write back.
Check 'LED' color. This should be stable green. If stable 'amber', then you need new gauge.
