Hi,

I couldn't find an answer for that in user manual so here it goes...

When I change probe from ESI to APCI on TQ MS is re-calibration (resolution & mass calibration) required?

If yes - can I use sodium iodide in isopropanol (which I normally use for ESI) for APCI calibration? (If I can't - what would be proper calibration solution for APCI?)
Hi,

I don't think recalibration is required: no voltage along the ion path is changed, only the way ions are produced. I work on a QTOF and calibration (which is performed in ESI) works for both ESI and APCI. Actually, conventional calibration such as sodium iodide or sodium formate produce nice adducts in ESI, but not in APCI.
