Hello,
We are trying to purchase a manual hand crimper and decapper for glass vials of a finished drug product (and not autosampler vials of GC..) with the following specifications: overall height 33 mm, body 15 mm, external collar: 12.8 mm, internal collar: 7 mm, edge: 4mm, neck height: 3mm.
Can anyone let me know how to choose the appropriate crimper, as I see at different websites and brands the follwoing dimensions only: 8, 11, 13 or 20 mm crimpers... are these only for GC autosampler vials?
Any suggestion of any brand is welcomed (Agilent, PerkinElmer, Sigma,...)

Thank you

Well I tried but they asked to send vial samples otherwise they "don't promise anything", which I think is completely unecessary... aren't these standard dimensions that could be easily identified by them or anyone of experience in such field??

If you are looking for a crimper/decapper from the vial manufacturer, send them their part number. They should recognize it.

If you are asking a reseller, they may be willing look to see if they can obtain something for you, but may not want to break open a case of vials to use only one or two. (They would not be able to sell the rest. And, a case of vials is not cheap.)

miro2009,

You can't find a crimper for these vials. Then they probably aren't standard. Send them the vials.
