No trace (chromatogram) can be seen on the monitor

Hello everyone,

I work with a Shimadzu LC-10ATVP system which has a PDA detector: SPD-M10AVP. The software I am using is Class VP 6.14 SP2.

Recently I had some problems with the computer so I had to have the computer repaired. After fixing, the IT department has installed everything from the scratch. The system is working properly BUT I cannot see any trace (chromatogram) :-(

Are you able to give me a clue how I can fix this problem? I have done everything I knew but nothing has worked so far.

in the graphical displays have you checked that the chromatogram is not using the same color as the background?

Yes, I did. The background is black and the trace is green.

OK, it seems that IT has locked down some directories and now the temp file for the trace cannot be created by Class-VP or better known as EZChrom. Grant all users on the PC (Everyone) full rights on the class vp directories and the enterprise directory. Do not forget to propagate these rights to sub-folders.
In the virus checker omit the class vp directories from the scanner.

Hello,

please make sure, that the PC has english country settings ("." as decimal separator).
If not, then the time constant in PDA settings is "0" and you may only see a zero line.
