Thanks for your reply
can we do simultaneous estimation of drugs using only API's??
that is even if we dont have the formulation (tablets) of new drug combination???
Please reply
Sure, but obviously you may not catch all degradation products if those are of intrest. But always add the expients to a solution to get closer to the real thing.
A few hints but your professors should be more able to find this:
Quite recently there have been maybe (?)~ 3-4 combination products approved that contains quite old antiinflammatory APIs mixed with semi old PPIs (proton pump inhibitors) APIs or similar stomach acid reducers.
Seem to recall perhaps some combinations as well in the diabetes field as well. Also in the statin area there combination used sometimes but unsure if its 2 APIs in same pill or seperate pills.
Upside with looking into the older APIs combos is that data/IP shopuld be more accessible as patents are more likely to have expired.
Intresting challange though, separation APIs is one thing but when tossing in common present sythetic impurities from 2 sources and adding degradation products on top on that.
