Morning every body,

I am a new member of this forum and I would like to give the problem that I have.
I usually use the GC - MS for the determination of PAH in honey.I have set a method which has the temperature of Ion source equal to 250 C.I checked the temperature and I realized that the actual temperature is 200.Why does this temperature change? what can affect the temperature of this part of instrument? How can I set this temperature again?

Note: the instrument is Thermo Scientific DSQII (Mass Spectrometer) and Trace GC Ultra ( GC)

Normally when you tune you have the temperature at 200 C

Double check your method, that it really says 250 degrees for the ion source.

also when you are in the autotune you can set ion source temperature manually, just to see that the sensor responds

I'm not familiar with Thermo instruments, but in the Agilent world the source and quad temps are set in the tune file.
