Beautiful machine.
However I would like to go sub ambient.
The machine has the fittings for CO2 I understand.
However it locks up when I couple a 1000psi CO2 dip tube cylinder.
The handbook claims it needs a dip tube CO2 cylinder running at 75-85psi.

Anybody have any ideas as how to achieve this?
Speak to your supplier of CO2 and ask them what hardware they have to achieve your goal.

Some sort of heated dual stop regulator would be my guess.

Certainly a call to Perkin Elmer could not hurt.

best wishes,

Rod
Thanks for the reply.
I started off with the local PE guys.

Fascinating, asked the local AP and sure enough there is a low pressure Dewar type system for CO2. I had not come across it. Always used the 1000psi dip tube cylinders because of the convenience.

We are tropical, anything below 40C takes time.
