Hi All, I have a new Agilent 7820a and I'm analyzing ethylene. I get nice peaks when I use pulsed-split mode. I've noticed that when I start a run the baseline rises - I assume that is normal and due to the increased pressure. The weird thing is that there is often a peak (or occasionally two) that pop up on top of the baseline hump. At first I thought they were residual peaks from the previous injection, but there is no consistent retention time. The only consistent thing is that they pop up on top of the baseline hump - sometimes before, sometimes immediately after injection. Could they be instrumental in origin? Any thoughts?
I appreciate any insight you all may have.
