whenever I start the hplc and begin running my method, the pump head begins to leak. maintenance was done on the pump recently, cleaning and replacing seals and pistons, and ever since then it leaks whenever I run my method. I removed the pump head and piston holder and made sure it was put together correctly and closed tight but that didn't make a difference. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
You've already checked what would have been my first and second suggestions:
- are the seals installed correctly and
- is the piston scored.

You may have just gotten a bad set of seals (or inadvertently damaged them during installation).

I have a few extra seals so maybe I can replace them and see if that helps. Thanks.
