I had a foamy sample get into my P/T and I ave cleaned everything and replaced a lot of parts. I am thinking the transfer line and 6 port valve need a more thorough cleaning. Any tips? How do I get the 6 port clean? Thanks

Your best bet would be to refurb the unit, replacing everything that comes in contact with sample - which is costly. You can try just replacing all the tubing and the trap. You can try removing the 6-port, removing the rotor and sonicating in methanol. You can try steaming some methanol through the transfer line while it is heated, but I would just change out the tubing. Run alot of blanks through it in an attempt to clean it up.

Tekmar has instructions on their website on how to steam clean the 3000. It's applicable to the velocity as well.
If you are worried about the transfer line you can rinse it with water and methanol. You could replace the Silcosteel inner line. It's been do able, best when still quite warm.
