I know that TMS artifacts occur at m/z 205 due to re-arrangement of 3 close TMS groups (generally in sugars), however, I can´t find the reference where I read this.
someone could indicate me a reference (article or book) that state this and show the structure of this fragment?
thanks

205 is found in propanediol-2TMS, which has MW=220 and loss of a methyl group gives 205. 205 is similarly found in glycerin-TMS, sorbitol-TMS.
Silyl ion at 205

I have a lot of information on mass spectrometry and silylation on my website..
see

There is a lot of information and references on disaccharides on pages 34-39 of Silylation of Organic Compounds by Pierce. A classic but old book which I don't know if still is in print. A very good reference if one does a lot of silyl work, but somewhat dated.
I went to Pierce's website, but couldn't find any information about buying the book. Copied a few of the pages to give you an idea of the information. Maybe you could get a reprint of the book or borrow through some library program if you want to see more..
