Hello All:

This is my first post here. We have a Varian prostar system with three 210 pumps, 410 autosampler, 335 DAD, 363 FL and a few other accesories. Last week I had to move the HPLC unit to a different lab and I carefully labelled each device before disconnecting for the move. After I carefully reconnected them at the new location, I got the error message in Galaxie "Autosampler 410 not detected any more". I tried reconnecting twice before giving up, I have no clue what's going on. Any tips or suggestions would be welcome and greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Shekar
Is the Autosampler in serial mode? It needs to be before it will communicate and if it's been switched off/on it will revert to non-serial mode. I think you should find a dedicated button on the actual instrument to switch it but if not you should be able to find it in the menu.
As in the post before. When you turn off the 410 Autosampler it goes off line. You should push the button under the "serial" line of the 410 screen. then appears "panic button" in its place at the screen.
If it doesn't work write and I will try to help you to configure the COMM port.
¿Are you sure you connected the 410 in the same connector of the COMM line? At my equippment I connect in the first connector (the farest from the PC) the pump and in the second the 410. Try it
