So our computer that controls 2 of our 5890 series 2 GC's has crashed and i need to find a new one. I use Chemstation Rev A.10.02 and have a 52350B GPIB card. Does anyone know if this will run on windows 7 or anything above windows xp? I would love to be able to upgrade.
thanks in advance for any help!!!

Hi
I think you mean the 82350B card. Now only the latest chemstation version are said to work with Windows 7. Thats not to say it wont work, there are many varying combinations of HPIB board, OS and chemstaion versions people have tried that have worked, so give it a try. If you do try it please let us know either way, it is always useful information.

I believe we have one HPLC A.10 on a Windows XP system, can check next week. So that combination should work.
We run GC A.06 on Windows 2000 (not an "offiicial" combination) and it works fine. We get one "box" to check OK as it loads up, otherwise fine. Agilent only checks out certain combinations and certain HP computers, but in many cases others will work fine.
You know that the 82350 board gets entered into the setup software as "hp82341", right?

I had HP 5890 series II GC. I had the controlling software pre-installed in one old computer once purchase, but i had no the install disc. Now the computer did not work. I need buy a copy of the software to install in a new computer to control the GC system. Do you know where i could buy it? And what is the price?
Does any one know if the new Chemstation version of Agilent GC possibly works for the HP 5890 series II GC?
Thanks
