How to run acetaldehyde sample on GC-ECD with derivitization done with 2,4-Dinitrophenylhydrazine?? Problems are specifically with the derivitization and the GC-ECD conditions..
Why would you want to derivatize? ECD will see the oxygen in acetaldehyde with no problem. Try it underivatized first.
