Poor Reproducibility of readings from the IC

Discussions about HPLC, CE, TLC, SFC, and other "liquid phase" separation techniques.

Hi All,

I am having trouble obtaining the same readings for the same samples being run for cations on the IC. The readings tend to increase as more samples are run. Does anyone know of why this is happening?

Thanks :)
Can you be a *bit* more specific?
What instrument (manufacturer/model)?
What column / mobile phase?
What kind of suppressor?
Are the retention times changing or only the peak areas?
How much variation are you seeing?
How suddenly did the problem begin?
Did the onset of the problem coincide with some specific event (instrument service? new batch of mobile phase?)?
