water peak on an ECD?

Hi guys and gals,
I am having a bit of trouble with one of our trace gas GC's. We run for CO2, CH4 on an FID and N2O on an ECD. We are having a weird peak come out on the ECD at about 12 minutes, which having asked around someone suggested may be a water peak? Is this liekly?
The problem with this is our run times are 6 minutes and so the first sample is fine, but this mystery peak starts interferring from the second run onwards. I have ruled out the carrier gas and so it seems to be coming from sample injection. I am going to bake out the column and check for leaks (but these are last resorts and not sure they will actually solve the problem) but am will to try any other suggestions anyone may have (as to how to fix it or what the peak may be if its not water).
Cheers
