Hi All

Anyone got a Carlo Erba 8000 ( or Fisons 8000 ) manual they could let me have a copy of?

Thanks
I've never seen a pdf manual for the 8000 series but CE Instruments Ltd www.ceinstruments.co.uk should have a hard copy they would sell you. The manuals were not great, what do you need to know ?
I have a paper copy of Fison AS 800 Autosampler (P/N 31709084) and other for Fison HRGC Mega 2 Series Chromatograph P/N 31709078 (Fisons 8560 model)
The equipments were retired a few years ago. So if it is that you are looking for, I can send them to you if you pay the cost of the mail.
In this case tell me how I send, DHL or as you decide.
Here is Valencia, Spain
Hi

Thanks Willyone, unfortunately ( or fortunately depending on your perspective ) they dont have the A/S on, I will contact you if I need that manual, again thanks.

Thanks CEinstr, I will contact them.

Just after a general outline with regard to their operation, i.e. column distances into FID and S/SL and anything of note to look out for. They are connected to Chrom Card, fortunately I have found a .pdf for the newer software...hopefully the earlier ones are similar.
Well, if you need some data I can read and communicate you by this forum or e-mail, ask me
For Split and Splitless injector depths use the GC oven
Splitless is the distance from the oven edge to the top plate , Split is just the main oven width.
If you want the proper figures
PTV Injection (a)
Syringe Needle Length 51 mm
Column Insertion Depth 30 mm

Split Injection SSL (b)
Syringe Needle Length 51 mm
Column Insertion Depth 40 mm

Splitless Injection SSL (c)
Syringe Needle Length 80 mm
Column Insertion Depth 64 mm

On-Column Injection (d)
Syringe Needle Length 80 mm

Detector depth, insert until it touches the jet tip, pull back 1-2mm then tighten nut.

Note all the injector settings are the same for the Trace GC so you can download the manuals etc.

Chromcard; The method is the whole file inc your sample table, always save it to a new name (and directory) as it allows you to go back and re-process. I may still be the UK expert on Chromcard which IMO is a great GC integration package. Are you running the old 16 bit version or the 32 bit one ?
Hi
Thanks for the info CE. It is circa 1997 so i guess 16bit, it looks reasonable simple to use, does the software control the instrument? One last question, behind the inlet port there are 2 needle valves, can I assume one is for the split flow and the other a septum purge?

thanks
