Hi all,

let me know regarding the interface heater in API 4000 lcms/ms system, what is its use and How it will helpful in quantification?

Can any body having the idea regarding this?

If you are referring to the setting denoted as "ihe" in the software, it has two settings, "on" or "off". At the time our 4000 was installed, the service engineer said it was not generally useful to turn it off, and recommended that we never turn it off. I haven't experimented with it enough to say what happens if it is turned off, however.

Thanks MG,

But why i need to know about the heater is because of Interface heater is not working in my system. Engineer said that put it in off mode and run your system. I found that there is some decrease in sensitivity of some compounds.

If anybody faced this similar type of problem then they may know about this. Any more please

You have just given a reason why this problem should be repaired: you are no longer getting full performance from your expensive triple-quad.
