Hi,

To prevent oxydation of some compounds I used a mixture containing 3 % sodium metabisulfite, 3% EDTA in 0.01M Formic Acid.
However, by injecting on a C18 column a vial of neat analytes reconstituted in this mixture, chromatography was awful (Rt shift and bad peak shape).
And after this injection (10uL), the column was dead...even for other conventional applications ! No way to recover it !

Here are the conditions:
- MP A: H2O+0.1% FA
- MP B: ACN+0.1% FA
- Flow: 0.4mL/min
- Column: Coreshell C18 100x2.1mm ; 2.6um.
- MS detection

Any ideas about this issue ? Is the sodium metabisulfite the problem ?

Thanks for your help !
