Good afternoon,

Hello my name is Mauricio, I am grad student in flavor chemistry. After unsuccessful attempts to find a manual or user guide for this instrument (Shimadzu FCV-11AL Solvent switch), even with the supplier. I would like to know if anybody have any PDF with this information, or have any idea about where I can find it, or some sort of information about how should I use it or make maintenance. Thanks in advance for your help and support.

I don't think they come with much of a manual. Basically, you just plug the provided cable into the back of a pump. The system controller should recognize it. From there, you have 3 2-position valves that you can put into position A or B. I think the default is to have them all in the A position meanin that the left-hand upper feed line is passed out the corresponding lower port. When you put a "1" in the FCV control for a method, valve 1 is switched to line B, entering "12" would mean both valves 1 and 2 feed the right hand input line; "13" means that valves 1 and 3 feed the right hand one while valve 2 feeds the left-hand one...

A quick phonecall to SSI or your local rep should be all that is needed to confirm this.
