hi,

We have samples with water and butanol and want to analyse them using GC/MS. any suggestions how to do it?

Is there an extraction method in to solvent? any method for GCMS analysis?

Thanks
I would look into a DB-5 column or one like it and run it on the GCMS Isothermal at 35C. Water will elute around 2-3 minutes and 2-butanol a minute or so later.
You will get two layers though...if you want a complete analysis you will need to run both layers.
At what levels?
