Using HILIC to combine systems?

Discussions about HPLC, CE, TLC, SFC, and other "liquid phase" separation techniques.

Hello Chromforum,
With some pressure to reduce my operating budget, I had the idea of using HILIC to try and combine multiple systems together. I remember seeing some great data on anion and cation runs on HILIC with a CAD. I don't know how practical this is, but it seems like a fun project to try.

I have mostly ICs with a few HPLCs. I have CADs, single quad MSs, UV, conductivity and ECD so maybe some creativity will streamline things.

My current systems (some are duplicated) are:

Anions - IC with conductivity
Amines - IC with conductivity
Phosphonates - IC with conductivity and MS
Glycols - IC with ECD
Azoles - HPLC with UV
Organic acids - IC with conductivity

Can any of these be paired together to reduce the number of systems running? Either with HILIC or some other chromatography update?

Columns are Dionex and Agilent.
Any suggestions and ideas are welcome.
Thanks!
No.
Wow, Klaus I., it would certainly be interesting to be informed on how you can say "no" without knowing what the compounds are!

I am also wondering about my extrasensory perceptions, but maybe you should also be patient and wait for the following details from the OP. Meanwhile you can also post some constructive ideas for this issue and we will discuss this in the following.

With the scant info given there is nothing to discuss for me, besides, this will be a trial and error affair.
Maybe the very silent OP should have a closer look on the Thermo Hypercarb-Columns (also provided by Phenomenx, if I remember correctly).

The Hypercarb can also seperate Ions but works with HPLC under RP-Conditions, but then he had to buy other columns.
