Hello everyone, I need to decide which equipment to purchase by next Friday.
We have resources for purchasing one of the following LC-MS/MS:
- Waters Xevo TQD/
- Agilent 6430
- Agilent 6460
I hope you can help me with your real experience.
Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo,
To provide another option. My company has a Waters Xevo TQ Mass Spectrometer System available for sale. Purchased last year. More economical!

I have a Xevo Qtof, and I am quite pleased with its performance. It provides exceptionally accurate mass with good detection limits. I am told that ABSciex's systems are the absolute best for detection limit problems (bioanalytics, in particular). What are your applications?
I would recommend against purchasing a used MS (no offense, Kcacent1!). I have purchased a used system in the past that was not old and meticulously maintained. Storage of these systems for any significant length of time (>2 mos) without using them can lead to poor detector response, permanent noise, and other issues.

My applications are quantification of drug metabolites in urine and serum.
As I said, I can just afford the equipaments I mentioned above.
Thanks for helping me.

The CRO's I work with in bioanalytical applications tell me the Triple Quad 5500 from AB is the absolute best:

To be clear: I don't work for AB, just trying to help.
Isn't the Xevo ~$400K? You don't think AB would be competitive? Did you get a quote in the context of your Waters quote? I'm sure they want to be competitive.
