Varian CP4900 Ez Chrom with "communication error -1."

Need help.\

I am a user of varian CP4900. workstation Ez Chrom

currently i have a trouble with the
Communication error between GC and laptop. Red indicator is appearing at error indicator with sound.


Checking check list done:
1. Helium connection, everything is ok, already double-check.
2. LAN cable is ok. ( is this LAN cable for GC should be the same as regular LAN cable available in market )
3. USB toggle is functioned and connected. ( is there any possible that this happen because of the USB port not recognized the dongle
4. Powering the GC and laptop followed as per method. ( as advice how we need to power up the GC and laptop sequence? are we need to switch on the GC first then laptop or the other way around )

this ERROR flash appear also even we switch on the GC alone without laptop. is there any connected issue on this?




Please advice your recommendation to fix this problems.....

i work with CP4900 but with the open BSD software no EZ chrom

Which version of EZChrom is that??? Do you have the version 3.3.2 SP2 and the GC firmware is 1.2?
