Hello all,

I encountered a problem with the GC/FID autosampler, it is an HP 5890II series GC/FID with a HP 7673A autosampler.
When I start sequence, the autosampler tower functions normal, it rotates to position the dial. While the trapper on the tray stay motionless, and I can observe the belt inside is keeping move anticlockwise, which moves the trapper to the upper dead point and cannot move further. Then there pops out an message saying error code 157 on the screen.

Does any one had this problem before or happen to know how to solve it?
Any comments or suggestions are appreciated!

Vincent
My guess would be that the Z-Belt in trapper is partialy or completely ripped.
