Have you tried contacting SIS at
http://www.sisweb.com?
Agilent now sells something that Varian call the Chromatoprobe which allows the introductions of solid sample into a modified injection port on the GC.

They do ? I thought that this was only a feature of the Varian injector and as such only available from Bruker ?

Agilent produces and is selling now there ChromatoProbe under the name Thermal Separation Probe for 5975 (also for 5795T, 7000 and 7200)
http://www.chem.agilent.com/en-US/Produ ... fault.aspx
It can serve as both MS direct insertion probe and as thermal desorption unit
The ChromatoProbe is also available from Aviv Analytical for the various Agilent GC-MS
http://www.avivanalytical.com/ChromatoProbe.aspx
It cost much less than the SIM DI and has a few advantages
