which is better for natural gas analysis micro GC varian 490 or agilent 7890, can I reach to C8

If set up correctly, either. You can't buy a Varian new any more though, the business was sold to Agilent who then sold the GC side to Bruker (except the micro-GC).
Where can I buy the kit they use in CSI?
