Totalchrom set up

Hello,
I have the latest version of totalchrom 6.3.1 multi instruments. Right now, i'm controlling through the COM1 port a GC PE autosystem XL and i'm collecting data through 3 NCI 902 from 2 hplc series 200 and a shimadzu GC.
In a few weeks, I'll have to do some new analysis where a DAD detector is required. Until now, i've been using a separate laptop with 2 totalchroms installed with controls on the DAD through the com1 and acquiring the spectra through the LPT port.
I would like to install all of the instruments on my principal PC in order to have all of the files together and not to reconnect the instrument every time... the problem is that totalchrom can control only one instrument through COM port, my GC autosystem XL.
I heard from a friend that it is possible to use a terminal server emulator in order to connect the DAD with a lan cable (lantronix EDS2100), and to trick totalchrom which will connect to an IP address like NCI box but, in this case, i will have control of the instrument.
has anybody tried?
any suggestions?
Thanks a lot.
