Can I install NPD of Agilent 6890 onto Agilent 7890A?

No. The detector electronics board and the electronic flow controller for the detector are both different for the 6890 and the 7890.

A minor point, but I suspect you can transfer the detector body itself and the pallet over. Then you need the proper 7890 EPC, electrometer and input board so the cost savings are not going to be very extensive at all..... I would advise buying the whole kit from Agilent if you want to do this.
