We are currently working with triethylammonium acetate, 0.375mM in MeOH for a chiral separation. How suitable is this additive for MS? We have both ESI and APCI sources available.

Hi Stacy,

You can certainly use TEAA for APCI in the positive mode, but it could cause some ion suppression (TEAA is better for negative mode). It's not unheard of, though.
