Varian Star 5.52 problem (ProStar system)

I was wondering whether someone could help me. My Dell computer running Star 5.52 (on Windows98) died. We have substituted it with another computer running the same operating system. After loading on the Star software and attaching the cables, I can not seem to configure the ADC board. After searching for installed ADB boards, it continues to say "Vacant" under I/O Port Status.

I have that version of Star running under Windows XP.
Perhaps it can facilitate your work.
About the lack of communications, try to unplug all the modules and the PC.
Wait 5 minutes and then plug first the modules of your Prostar System. Wait a few minutes and plug the pc.
Then try to configure again the system.
