EZchrome Report: Method Last Modified Time

Dear all,
I have switched from Chemstation to EZchrome for a while, one problem has always bothering me all the time:
In the custom report, I can not find the option for acquisition method / Processing method like Chemstaion, there is just one method for both acquistion and processing. So in my report, the method is usually modified after the sample analysis time, how could I prove to QA that I have just changed the integration parameters (processing method), rather than then the acquisition method?
Hope I have said what I meant, many thanks in advance.
Terry

i think you need to switch on the audit trail.
then the software records the changes made to a method
in ezchrom there is also amother feature
you need to decide if you want to keep on the last change made to a data set or all the changes
it is something you choose in the option fields of the enterprise

Dear Unmgvar,
I have activated the audit trail for the method and data file in Enterprise.
To show QA the actual changes made to the method, do I have to print out the method audit trail and attach it to the chromatograms?
Regards,
Terry

HI, there is a big difference between ChemStation and EZChrom as far as method handling concerns.
For each run under EZChrom, an exact copy of the method is made to the raw data file.
When you open a data file or sequence of data files, you actually open the embedded method in the data files. Not the on hard disc stored method.
As far as I recall, changes can be made to the method with respect to the process parameters, but not to the instrument control parameters. These will not be overwritten in the instrument settings of the .dat file.
If you have configured the system to save all results, version control inside the .dat file is running and you can revert back to previous process parameters.
It is always possible to extract the exact method from the .dat file later on.
It is always possible to extract the exact instrument configuration from the .dat file later on.
If you make changes to the mother method stored on the disc, that has to go into the audit trail of the method.
Changes to the process parameters for a .dat file go into the audit trail and result version control of the .dat file.
If you make changes to a single .dat file with respect to integration parameters, please be sure that you store them under Manual Integration so that these chances are only reflected in the single .dat file.
Any more questions please feel free to ask!
